About Nikki & Woo

Nikki is a full time entrepreneur from Washington, DC. While working full time in government, and pursuing her Doctor of Science in Information Systems & Communication, she startled hustling. She started Zen in a Jar on the side, and it actually supplemented her income and helped pay her tuition.Upon completing her doctorate, Nikki realized her passion is self-care and decided to focus on Zen In A Jar full time. Through Zen in a Jar, she creates ways for women to access luxury experiences for the mind, body, and space with an emphasis on the power of aromatherapy.

Woo is also a DC native, who works full time in the Army and spends her down time enhancing black girl magic with Beads by Woo. Woo's journey to entrepreneurship began after a family trip to her homeland, Sierre Leone in West Africa. She was familiar with waist beads and was excited to get them from her native country but none were her size. When she returned home, she started making her own waist beads and then the orders started coming in from friends and family. Beads by Woo was born.

Together, Nikki and Woo formed the Beads N Butter podcast to share their business adventures and encourage others to profit from their own passions. These 2 besties, also hilariously discuss the hottest TV shows and latest gossip.
